Saw this performance of 'Les Escailles de Memoire' [Scales of Memory] tonight..
This is dance. A wonderful performance by a collaboration of two groups: Compagnie Jant-Bi from Senegal and Urban Bush Women from NYC. The work premiered in Florida last month. So we got to see it at only a month old here in Middletown at Wesleyan's CFA.
Superb dancing and choreography! Dance doesn't get much better than this.
